Our customer
Until now, the warehouse employees at DB Schenker worked with mobile dialogs provided by SAP EWM RF or with ITSmobile. However, these dialogs are not responsive, i.e. they have a fixed height and width, and therefore have to be adapted for each new end device. In addition, the usability of these dialogs can no longer keep up with modern applications. DB Schenker was looking for a solution for mobile warehouse dialogs that offered a responsive design and better usability.
Another condition was to preserve the logic of the existing dialogs. In addition, significant attention was dedicated to the smooth integration of the application into the existing SAP Fiori Launchpad, ensuring users can seamlessly navigate without the need to switch between multiple solutions.

The introduction of SAPUI5 has provided a new foundation for future-proof interface technology. The focus is on intuitive usability for mobile applications. Thanks to the standardization within the SAPUI5 framework both, consistent interfaces and a high degree of customizability of apps can be achieved. This means that the processes in your warehouse and the associated logistics can be optimized.
Based on this, the goal of the UI5 Converter was to develop a solution that is 100% compliant with the SAPUI5 standard. Additionally, we focused on optimally adapting the software (UI5/Fiori) to the hardware.
